CVE-2019-14867 – ipa: Denial of service in IPA server due to wrong use of ber_scanf()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-14867
A flaw was found in IPA, all 4.6.x versions before 4.6.7, all 4.7.x versions before 4.7.4 and all 4.8.x versions before 4.8.3, in the way the internal function ber_scanf() was used in some components of the IPA server, which parsed kerberos key data. An unauthenticated attacker who could trigger parsing of the krb principal key could cause the IPA server to crash or in some conditions, cause arbitrary code to be executed on the server hosting the IPA server. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2019:4268 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0378 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2019-14867 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/67SEUWJAJ5RMH5K4Q6TS2I7HIMXUGNKF https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/WLFL5XDCJ3WT6JCLCQVKHZBLHGW7PW4T https://www.freeipa.org/page/Releases/4.6.7 https://www.freeipa.org/page/Releases/4.7.4 https:// • CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2019-14896 – kernel: heap-based buffer overflow in lbs_ibss_join_existing function in drivers/net/wireless/marvell/libertas/cfg.c
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-14896
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel, version kernel-2.6.32, in Marvell WiFi chip driver. A remote attacker could cause a denial of service (system crash) or, possibly execute arbitrary code, when the lbs_ibss_join_existing function is called after a STA connects to an AP. A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's Marvell WiFi chip driver. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-03/msg00021.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/155879/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0061-1.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/156185/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0062-1.html https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2019-14896 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/01/msg00013.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/03/msg00001.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list& • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2019-10195 – ipa: Batch API logging user passwords to /var/log/httpd/error_log
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-10195
A flaw was found in IPA, all 4.6.x versions before 4.6.7, all 4.7.x versions before 4.7.4 and all 4.8.x versions before 4.8.3, in the way that FreeIPA's batch processing API logged operations. This included passing user passwords in clear text on FreeIPA masters. Batch processing of commands with passwords as arguments or options is not performed by default in FreeIPA but is possible by third-party components. An attacker having access to system logs on FreeIPA masters could use this flaw to produce log file content with passwords exposed. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2019:4268 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0378 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2019-10195 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/67SEUWJAJ5RMH5K4Q6TS2I7HIMXUGNKF https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/WLFL5XDCJ3WT6JCLCQVKHZBLHGW7PW4T https://www.freeipa.org/page/Releases/4.6.7 https://www.freeipa.org/page/Releases/4.7.4 https:// • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor CWE-532: Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File •
CVE-2019-12526 – squid: Heap overflow issue in URN processing
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-12526
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.9. URN response handling in Squid suffers from a heap-based buffer overflow. When receiving data from a remote server in response to an URN request, Squid fails to ensure that the response can fit within the buffer. This leads to attacker controlled data overflowing in the heap. • http://www.squid-cache.org/Advisories/SQUID-2019_7.txt https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1156326 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2019/12/msg00011.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/07/msg00009.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/MTM74TU2BSLT5B3H4F3UDW53672NVLMC https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/UEMOYTMCCFWK5NOXSXEIH5D2VGWVXR67 https://security.gentoo.org • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2019-12523 – squid: Improper input validation in URI processor
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-12523
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.9. When handling a URN request, a corresponding HTTP request is made. This HTTP request doesn't go through the access checks that incoming HTTP requests go through. This causes all access checks to be bypassed and allows access to restricted HTTP servers, e.g., an attacker can connect to HTTP servers that only listen on localhost. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-11/msg00056.html http://www.squid-cache.org/Advisories/SQUID-2019_8.txt https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1156329 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/07/msg00009.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/MTM74TU2BSLT5B3H4F3UDW53672NVLMC https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/UEMOYTMCCFWK5NOXSXEIH5D2VGWVXR67 https://usn.ubuntu.com& • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
