It was found in EAP 7 before 7.0.9 that properties based files of the management and the application realm configuration that contain user to role mapping are world readable allowing access to users and roles information to all the users logged in to the system. A deserialization flaw was discovered in the jackson-databind in versions before 2.8.10 and 2.9.1, which could allow an unauthenticated user to perform code execution by sending the maliciously crafted input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper. This issue extends the previous flaw CVE-2017-7525 by blacklisting more classes that could be used maliciously. In Jboss Application Server as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Application Platform 5.2, it was found that the doFilter method in the ReadOnlyAccessFilter of the HTTP Invoker does not restrict classes for which it performs deserialization and thus allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized data. It was found that while parsing the SAML messages the StaxParserUtil class of keycloak before 2.5.1 replaces special strings for obtaining attribute values with system property. This could allow an attacker to determine values of system properties at the attacked system by formatting the SAML request ID field to be the chosen system property which could be obtained in the "InResponseTo" field in the response. It was found that while parsing the SAML messages the StaxParserUtil class of Picketlink replaces special strings for obtaining attribute values with system property. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/101046 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041707 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:2808 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:2809 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:2810 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:2811 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:3216 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:3217 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:3218 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:3219 https: • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor CWE-201: Insertion of Sensitive Information Into Sent Data •

In Hibernate Validator 5.2.x before 5.2.5 final, 5.3.x, and 5.4.x, it was found that when the security manager's reflective permissions, which allows it to access the private members of the class, are granted to Hibernate Validator, a potential privilege escalation can occur. By allowing the calling code to access those private members without the permission an attacker may be able to validate an invalid instance and access the private member value via ConstraintViolation#getInvalidValue().
