CVE-2016-2124 – samba: SMB1 client connections can be downgraded to plaintext authentication
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2016-2124
A flaw was found in the way samba implemented SMB1 authentication. An attacker could use this flaw to retrieve the plaintext password sent over the wire even if Kerberos authentication was required.
CVE-2021-3744 – kernel: crypto: ccp - fix resource leaks in ccp_run_aes_gcm_cmd()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-3744
A memory leak flaw was found in the Linux kernel in the ccp_run_aes_gcm_cmd() function in drivers/crypto/ccp/ccp-ops.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption). This vulnerability is similar with the older CVE-2019-18808. CVE-2020-27842 – openjpeg: null pointer dereference in opj_tgt_reset function in lib/openjp2/tgt.c
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-27842
There's a flaw in openjpeg's t2 encoder in versions prior to 2.4.0. An attacker who is able to provide crafted input to be processed by openjpeg could cause a null pointer dereference. The highest impact of this flaw is to application availability. Se presenta un fallo en el codificador t2 de openjpeg en versiones anteriores a 2.4.0. Un atacante que sea capaz de proporcionar una entrada diseñada para ser procesada por openjpeg podría causar una desreferencia del puntero null. • https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1907513 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/04/msg00006.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/WJUPGIZE6A4O52EBOF75MCXJOL6MUCRV https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202101-29 https://www.debian.org/security/2021/dsa-4882 https://www.oracle.com//security-alerts/cpujul2021.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuApr2021.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2020-27842 • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read •
CVE-2019-19906 – cyrus-sasl: denial of service in _sasl_add_string function
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-19906
cyrus-sasl (aka Cyrus SASL) 2.1.27 has an out-of-bounds write leading to unauthenticated remote denial-of-service in OpenLDAP via a malformed LDAP packet. • http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2020/Jul/23 http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2020/Jul/24 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2022/02/23/4 https://github.com/cyrusimap/cyrus-sasl/issues/587 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r58af02e294bd07f487e2c64ffc0a29b837db5600e33b6e698b9d696b%40%3Cissues.bookkeeper.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rf4c02775860db415b4955778a131c2795223f61cb8c6a450893651e4%40%3Cissues.bookkeeper.apache.org%3E https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2019/12/msg00027.h • CWE-193: Off-by-one Error CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2019-13272 – Linux Kernel Improper Privilege Management Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-13272
In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/47133 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/47163 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/50541 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/47543 https://github.com/jas502n/CVE-2019-13272 https://github.com/Cyc1eC/CVE-2019-13272 https://github.com/oneoy/CVE-2019-13272 https://github.com/polosec/CVE-2019-13272 https://github.com/MDS1GNAL/ptrace_scope-CVE-2019-13272-privilege-escalation https://github.com/datntsec/CVE-2019-13272 https://github • CWE-271: Privilege Dropping / Lowering Errors •
