CVE-2015-3209 – qemu: pcnet: multi-tmd buffer overflow in the tx path
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-3209
Heap-based buffer overflow in the PCNET controller in QEMU allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending a packet with TXSTATUS_STARTPACKET set and then a crafted packet with TXSTATUS_DEVICEOWNS set. A flaw was found in the way QEMU's AMD PCnet Ethernet emulation handled multi-TMD packets with a length above 4096 bytes. A privileged guest user in a guest with an AMD PCNet ethernet card enabled could potentially use this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the host with the privileges of the hosting QEMU process. • http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=JSA10698 http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2015-June/160669.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2015-June/160677.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2015-June/160685.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-06/msg00004.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-06/msg00007.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-06 • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2015-3456 – QEMU - Floppy Disk Controller (FDC) (PoC)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-3456
The Floppy Disk Controller (FDC) in QEMU, as used in Xen 4.5.x and earlier and KVM, allows local guest users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write and guest crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via the (1) FD_CMD_READ_ID, (2) FD_CMD_DRIVE_SPECIFICATION_COMMAND, or other unspecified commands, aka VENOM. An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the way QEMU's virtual Floppy Disk Controller (FDC) handled FIFO buffer access while processing certain FDC commands. A privileged guest user could use this flaw to crash the guest or, potentially, execute arbitrary code on the host with the privileges of the host's QEMU process corresponding to the guest. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/37053 http://git.qemu.org/?p=qemu.git%3Ba=commitdiff%3Bh=e907746266721f305d67bc0718795fedee2e824c http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=JSA10693 http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2015-May/158072.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-05/msg00009.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-05/msg00013.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2015-05/msg00014.html http:/ • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer •
CVE-2014-5008 – snoopy: incomplete fixes for command execution flaws
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2014-5008
Snoopy allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. Snoopy permite a atacantes remotos ejecutar comandos arbitrarios. Various command-execution flaws were found in the Snoopy library included with Nagios. These flaws allowed remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by manipulating Nagios HTTP headers. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017-0211.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017-0212.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017-0213.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017-0214.html http://snoopy.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/snoopy/Snoopy/Snoopy.class.php?view=log#rev1.28 http://www.debian.org/security/2015/dsa-3248 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/07/16/10 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/07/18/2 http://www • CWE-77: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') •
CVE-2015-1842 – openstack-puppet-modules: pacemaker configured with default password
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-1842
The puppet manifests in the Red Hat openstack-puppet-modules package before 2014.2.13-2 uses a default password of CHANGEME for the pcsd daemon, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shell commands via unspecified vectors. It was discovered that the puppet manifests, as provided with the openstack-puppet-modules package, would configure the pcsd daemon with a known default password. If this password was not changed and an attacker was able to gain access to pcsd, they could potentially run shell commands as root. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0789.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0791.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0830.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0831.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0832.html http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/74049 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1201875 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-1842 • CWE-255: Credentials Management Errors CWE-798: Use of Hard-coded Credentials •

https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-0271
The log-viewing function in the Red Hat redhat-access-plugin before 6.0.3 for OpenStack Dashboard (horizon) allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a crafted path. La función log-viewing en el plugin Red Hat redhat-access anterior a 6.0.3 para OpenStack Dashboard (horizon) permite a atacantes remotos leer ficheros arbitrarios a través de una ruta manipulada. It was found that the local log-viewing function of the redhat-access-plugin for OpenStack Dashboard (horizon) did not sanitize user input.
