CVE-2024-50075 – xhci: tegra: fix checked USB2 port number
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-50075
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xhci: tegra: fix checked USB2 port number If USB virtualizatoin is enabled, USB2 ports are shared between all Virtual Functions. The USB2 port number owned by an USB2 root hub in a Virtual Function may be less than total USB2 phy number supported by the Tegra XUSB controller. Using total USB2 phy number as port number to check all PORTSC values would cause invalid memory access. [ 116.923438] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 006c622f7665642f ... CVE-2024-50074 – parport: Proper fix for array out-of-bounds access
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-50074
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parport: Proper fix for array out-of-bounds access The recent fix for array out-of-bounds accesses replaced sprintf() calls blindly with snprintf(). However, since snprintf() returns the would-be-printed size, not the actually output size, the length calculation can still go over the given limit. Use scnprintf() instead of snprintf(), which returns the actually output letters, for addressing the potential out-of-bounds access properly. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/166a0bddcc27de41fe13f861c8348e8e53e988c8 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/47b3dce100778001cd76f7e9188944b5cb27a76d https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a44f88f7576bc1916d8d6293f5c62fbe7cbe03e0 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c719b393374d3763e64900ee19aaed767d5a08d6 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7f4da759092a1a6ce35fb085182d02de8cc4cc84 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b579ea3516c371ecf59d073772bc45dfd28c8a0e https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ab11dac93d2d568d151b1918d7b84c2d02bacbd5 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7789a1d6792af410aa9b39a1eb237ed24 •

CVE-2024-50072 – x86/bugs: Use code segment selector for VERW operand

This is because segment registers with an arbitrary user value can result in #GP when executing VERW. Intel SDM vol. 2C documents the following behavior for VERW instruction: #GP(0) - If a memory operand effective address is outside the CS, DS, ES, FS, or GS segment limit. CLEAR_CPU_BUFFERS macro executes VERW instruction before returning to user space. Use %cs selector to reference VERW operand. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/50f021f0b985629accf10481a6e89af8b9700583 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d54de9f2a127090f2017184e8257795b487d5312 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2e3087505ddb8ba2d3d4c81306cca11e868fcdb9 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ca13d8cd8dac25558da4ee8df4dc70e8e7f9d762 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a0e2dab44d22b913b4c228c8b52b2a104434b0b3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/51eca9f1fd047b500137d021f882d93f03280118 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bfd1d223d80cb29a210caa1bd5e21f0816d58f02 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ada431c6c31a2c8c37991c46089af5caa •
