CVE-2024-38621 – media: stk1160: fix bounds checking in stk1160_copy_video()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-38621
21 Jun 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: stk1160: fix bounds checking in stk1160_copy_video() The subtract in this condition is reversed. The ->length is the length of the buffer. The ->bytesused is how many bytes we have copied thus far. When the condition is reversed that means the result of the subtraction is always negative but since it's unsigned then the result is a very high positive value. That means the overflow check is never true. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9cb2173e6ea8f2948bd1367c93083a2500fcf08f •
CVE-2024-37356 – tcp: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in dctcp_update_alpha().
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-37356
21 Jun 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in dctcp_update_alpha(). In dctcp_update_alpha(), we use a module parameter dctcp_shift_g as follows: alpha -= min_not_zero(alpha, alpha >> dctcp_shift_g); ... delivered_ce <<= (10 - dctcp_shift_g); It seems syzkaller started fuzzing module parameters and triggered shift-out-of-bounds [0] by setting 100 to dctcp_shift_g: memcpy((void*)0x20000080, "/sys/module/tcp_dctcp/parameters/dctcp_shift_g\000", 47); res = s... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e3118e8359bb7c59555aca60c725106e6d78c5ce • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read •

21 Jun 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: genirq/cpuhotplug, x86/vector: Prevent vector leak during CPU offline The absence of IRQD_MOVE_PCNTXT prevents immediate effectiveness of interrupt affinity reconfiguration via procfs. Instead, the change is deferred until the next instance of the interrupt being triggered on the original CPU. When the interrupt next triggers on the original CPU, the new affinity is enforced within __irq_move_irq(). CVE-2024-38618 – ALSA: timer: Set lower bound of start tick time
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-38618
19 Jun 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: timer: Set lower bound of start tick time Currently ALSA timer doesn't have the lower limit of the start tick time, and it allows a very small size, e.g. 1 tick with 1ns resolution for hrtimer. Such a situation may lead to an unexpected RCU stall, where the callback repeatedly queuing the expire update, as reported by fuzzer. This patch introduces a sanity check of the timer start tick time, so that the system returns an error when a ... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/68396c825c43664b20a3a1ba546844deb2b4e48f • CWE-99: Improper Control of Resource Identifiers ('Resource Injection') •

19 Jun 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: m68k: Fix spinlock race in kernel thread creation Context switching does take care to retain the correct lock owner across the switch from 'prev' to 'next' tasks. This does rely on interrupts remaining disabled for the entire duration of the switch. This condition is guaranteed for normal process creation and context switching between already running processes, because both 'prev' and 'next' already have interrupts disabled in their saved c... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/533e6903bea0440816a0f517b0845ccea4cc7917 •
