CVE-2024-43839 – bna: adjust 'name' buf size of bna_tcb and bna_ccb structures
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-43839
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bna: adjust 'name' buf size of bna_tcb and bna_ccb structures To have enough space to write all possible sprintf() args. Currently 'name' size is 16, but the first '%s' specifier may already need at least 16 characters, since 'bnad->netdev->name' is used there. For '%d' specifiers, assume that they require: * 1 char for 'tx_id + tx_info->tcb[i]->id' sum, BNAD_MAX_TXQ_PER_TX is 8 * 2 chars for 'rx_id + rx_info->rx_ctrl[i].ccb->id', BNAD_MAX_RXP_PER_RX is 16 And replace sprintf with snprintf. Detected using the static analysis tool - Svace. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8b230ed8ec96c933047dd0625cf95f739e4939a6 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f121740f69eda4da2de9a20a6687a13593e72540 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c90b1cd7758fd4839909e838ae195d19f8065d76 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6ce46045f9b90d952602e2c0b8886cfadf860bf1 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6d20c4044ab4d0e6a99aa35853e66f0aed5589e3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ab748dd10d8742561f2980fea08ffb4f0cacfdef https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b0ff0cd0847b03c0a0abe20cfa900eabcfcb9e43 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e0f48f51d55fb187400e9787192eda09f •

CVE-2024-43819 – kvm: s390: Reject memory region operations for ucontrol VMs
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-43819
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kvm: s390: Reject memory region operations for ucontrol VMs This change rejects the KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION and KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION2 ioctls when called on a ucontrol VM. This is necessary since ucontrol VMs have kvm->arch.gmap set to 0 and would thus result in a null pointer dereference further in. Memory management needs to be performed in userspace and using the ioctls KVM_S390_UCAS_MAP and KVM_S390_UCAS_UNMAP. Also improve s390 specific documentation for KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION and KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION2. CVE-2024-42313 – media: venus: fix use after free in vdec_close
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-42313
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: fix use after free in vdec_close There appears to be a possible use after free with vdec_close(). The firmware will add buffer release work to the work queue through HFI callbacks as a normal part of decoding. Randomly closing the decoder device from userspace during normal decoding can incur a read after free for inst. Fix it by cancelling the work in vdec_close. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/af2c3834c8ca7cc65d15592ac671933df8848115 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ad8cf035baf29467158e0550c7a42b7bb43d1db6 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/72aff311194c8ceda934f24fd6f250b8827d7567 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4c9d235630d35db762b85a4149bbb0be9d504c36 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f8e9a63b982a8345470c225679af4ba86e4a7282 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/da55685247f409bf7f976cc66ba2104df75d8dad https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/66fa52edd32cdbb675f0803b3c4da10ea19b6635 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6a96041659e834dc0b172dda4b2df512d •
