A vulnerability in the Topology Discovery Service of Cisco One Platform Kit (onePK) in Cisco IOS Software, Cisco IOS XE Software, Cisco IOS XR Software, and Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient length restrictions when the onePK Topology Discovery Service parses Cisco Discovery Protocol messages. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious Cisco Discovery Protocol message to an affected device. An exploit could allow the attacker to cause a stack overflow, which could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code with administrative privileges, or to cause a process crash, which could result in a reload of the device and cause a DoS condition. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ios-nxos-onepk-rce-6Hhyt4dC • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •

The Neighbor Discovery (ND) protocol implementation in the IPv6 stack in Cisco IOS XE 2.1 through 3.17S, IOS XR 2.0.0 through 5.3.2, and NX-OS allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (packet-processing outage) via crafted ND messages, aka Bug ID CSCuz66542, as exploited in the wild in May 2016. • http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20160525-ipv6 http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20160824-01-ipv6-en http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/90872 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035962 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035963 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035964 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035965 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1036651 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •

Unspecified vulnerability in Cisco IOS 12.0 through 12.4, IOS XE 2.1.x through 2.3.x before 2.3.2, and IOS XR 3.2.x through 3.4.3, when Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) are enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device reload or process restart) via a crafted LDP packet, aka Bug IDs CSCsz45567 and CSCsj25893. • http://osvdb.org/63188 http://secunia.com/advisories/39065 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/products_security_advisory09186a0080b20ee2.shtml http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/38938 http://www.securitytracker.com/id?1023740 http://www.vupen.com/english/advisories/2010/0707 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/57143 •

The SCP server in Cisco IOS 12.2 through 12.4, when Role-Based CLI Access is enabled, does not enforce the CLI view configuration for file transfers, which allows remote authenticated users with an attached CLI view to (1) read or (2) overwrite arbitrary files via an SCP command. • http://secunia.com/advisories/34438 http://securitytracker.com/id?1021899 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/products_security_advisory09186a0080a90469.shtml http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/products_security_advisory09186a0080a904c8.shtml http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/34247 http://www.vupen.com/english/advisories/2009/0851 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/49423 • CWE-264: Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls •
