Advantech WebAccess Node, Version 8.4.4 and prior, Version 9.0.0. Multiple relative path traversal vulnerabilities exist that may allow an authenticated user to use a specially crafted file to delete files outside the application’s control.

Advantech WebAccess Node, versiones 8.4.4 y anteriores, versión 9.0.0. Se presentan múltiples vulnerabilidades de salto de ruta relativa que pueden permitir a un usuario autenticado usar un archivo especialmente diseñado para eliminar archivos fuera del control de la aplicación.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files on affected installations of Advantech WebAccess. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the implementation of IOCTL 0x2738. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to delete files in the context of Administrator.
