WebAccess Node Version 8.4.4 and prior is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, which may allow an attacker to remotely execute arbitrary code.

WebAccess Node versión 8.4.4 y anteriores, es vulnerable a un desbordamiento de búfer en la región stack de la memoria, que puede permitir a un atacante ejecutar código arbitrario remotamente

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Advantech WebAccess Node. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the configuration of the PostgreSQL database. The issue results from incorrect permissions set on a resource used by the service. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
