CVE-2018-5390 – Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-5390
Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service. A flaw named SegmentSmack was found in the way the Linux kernel handled specially crafted TCP packets. A remote attacker could use this flaw to trigger time and calculation expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() functions by sending specially modified packets within ongoing TCP sessions which could lead to a CPU saturation and hence a denial of service on the system. Maintaining the denial of service condition requires continuous two-way TCP sessions to a reachable open port, thus the attacks cannot be performed using spoofed IP addresses. • http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2018-004.txt http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20181031-02-linux-en http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104976 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041424 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041434 https://access.redhat.co • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2018-14883
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-14883
An issue was discovered in PHP before 5.6.37, 7.0.x before 7.0.31, 7.1.x before 7.1.20, and 7.2.x before 7.2.8. An Integer Overflow leads to a heap-based buffer over-read in exif_thumbnail_extract of exif.c. • http://php.net/ChangeLog-5.php http://php.net/ChangeLog-7.php http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104871 https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=76423 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/09/msg00000.html https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20181107-0003 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3766-1 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3766-2 https://www.debian.org/security/2018/dsa-4353 https://www.tenable.com/security/tns-2018-12 • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound •
CVE-2018-14851 – php: exif: Buffer over-read in exif_process_IFD_in_MAKERNOTE()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-14851
exif_process_IFD_in_MAKERNOTE in ext/exif/exif.c in PHP before 5.6.37, 7.0.x before 7.0.31, 7.1.x before 7.1.20, and 7.2.x before 7.2.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) via a crafted JPEG file. exif_process_IFD_in_MAKERNOTE en ext/exif/exif.c en PHP en versiones anteriores a la 5.6.37, versiones 7.0.x anteriores a la 7.0.31, versiones 7.1.x anteriores a la 7.1.20 y versiones 7.2.x anteriores a la 7.2.8 permite que atacantes remotos provoquen una denegación de servicio (lectura fuera de límites y cierre inesperado de la aplicación) mediante un archivo JPEG manipulado. • http://php.net/ChangeLog-5.php http://php.net/ChangeLog-7.php http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104871 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2519 https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=76557 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/09/msg00000.html https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20181107-0003 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3766-1 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3766-2 https://www.debian.org/security/2018/dsa-4353 https://www.tenable.com/security/tns- • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read •

https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-9262
_XcursorThemeInherits in library.c in libXcursor before 1.1.15 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service or potentially code execution via a one-byte heap overflow. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3059 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3505 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90857 https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libXcursor/commit/?id=897213f36baf6926daf6d192c709cf627aa5fd05 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/08/msg00016.html https://usn.ubuntu.com/3729-1 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-9262 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1611599 • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow •
