A double-free can happen in idr_remove_all() in lib/idr.c in the Linux kernel 2.6 branch. An unprivileged local attacker can use this flaw for a privilege escalation or for a system crash and a denial of service (DoS). While investigating bug PROTON-2014, we discovered that under some circumstances Apache Qpid Proton versions 0.9 to 0.27.0 (C library and its language bindings) can connect to a peer anonymously using TLS *even when configured to verify the peer certificate* while used with OpenSSL versions before 1.1.0. This means that an undetected man in the middle attack could be constructed if an attacker can arrange to intercept TLS traffic. A cryptographic weakness was discovered in qpid-proton's use of TLS. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/04/23/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/108044 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0886 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1398 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1399 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1400 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2777 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2778 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2779 https://access.redhat.com/errata/ • CWE-300: Channel Accessible by Non-Endpoint •

An integer overflow flaw was found in the Linux kernel's create_elf_tables() function. An unprivileged local user with access to SUID (or otherwise privileged) binary could use this flaw to escalate their privileges on the system. Kernel versions 2.6.x, 3.10.x and 4.14.x are believed to be vulnerable. Se ha encontrado un error de desbordamiento de enteros en la función create_elf_tables() del kernel de Linux. Un usuario local sin privilegios con acceso al binario SUID (o a otro privilegiado) podría emplear este error para escalar sus privilegios en el sistema. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/45516 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/07/20/2 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/105407 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2748 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2763 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2846 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2924 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2925 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2933 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA- • CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound •

The Linux kernel, versions 3.9+, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack with low rates of specially modified packets targeting IP fragment re-assembly. An attacker may cause a denial of service condition by sending specially crafted IP fragments. Various vulnerabilities in IP fragmentation have been discovered and fixed over the years. The current vulnerability (CVE-2018-5391) became exploitable in the Linux kernel with the increase of the IP fragment reassembly queue size. El kernel de Linux en versiones a partir de la 3.9 es vulnerable a un ataque de denegación de servicio (DoS) con tasas bajas de paquetes especialmente modificados que apuntan hacia el reensamblado de fragmentos de IP. • http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2018-004.txt http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20200115-01-linux-en http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/105108 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041476 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041637 https://access.redhat.co • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
